PART B.  Create network connection to the Supply 2000 Server

N34.  When your computer is back at the Desk Top, click on ‘Start’ then ‘Program Menu’ then ‘Oracle for Windows 95 or NT’ and then ‘Oracle Net8 Easy Config’ and click it to start.  Be careful not to use the ‘oraifs’ option.

N35.  Select ‘Add a new service’. In the New Service Name type: supply2k

N36.  Then click ‘Next’.
N37.  Select TCP/IP (Internet protocol) and click ‘Next’

N38. Type the IP Address of your S2K/IFS server (i.e. 123.123.123 or whatever) Then click ‘Next’  

N39. Enter ‘s’ for Database SID and click ‘Next’

N40. Now test the service by clicking ‘Test Service’.

N41.  If you Test the Service, enter the username and password.

N42.  Once the test is successful click ‘Next ‘ then ‘Finish’
You do need to restart your computer NOW.

S43.  Restart your PC.  Login to Supply 2000 using the Desktop Icon or the Supply 2000 selection from the Program menu.  Select supply2k as the database from the drop down list on the Supply 2000 Security Logon screen.
