SUPPLY 2000 BILL OF MATERIAL ESTIMATES
The Bill of Material Estimate screen is used to create a detailed list of materials for a Work Order. The primary users of the screen will the Estimators. The Work Order should already be established in the IFS database prior to creating the BOM in Supply 2000. If the IFS database is not online/available and an estimate needs to be done, you can by-pass the validation process and continue the BOM Estimate creation in Supply 2000, but the Work Order will not be validated against the IFS database to ensure the number exists. Without the validation, if the Work Order number is entered incorrectly in Supply 2000, any future actions against that Work Order in Supply 2000 will error when interfaced with IFS. The default preference is to always ‘Validate IFSM’.

To add a new job, click on the insert button at the top or the ‘add’ button at the bottom and enter data into the mandatory fields. The work document field is added with an ‘E’ in the last position of the Work Document. The type field identifies the job as an IJO, Shop Stock, Service Order, etc. Enter the type if known or it can be selected from the drill down options.
Back to Top The Phase Code must be entered. If the Validate IFS is YES, and the Work Order validation is not desired, then click on the CHG button to turn off the Validation.
The ‘Stk Desc Find' button calls the following screen:
The above screen allows users to look up established stock records in the supply tables and once selected from this screen, it creates a new line item in the detail estimate. The methods of search are by MCN/NSN or by the nomenclature.
The CAT DESC button works the same except it accesses the catalog data. Below is a sample of the form it will call when the button is selected.

Back to Top The ‘ADD NEW (LOCAL)’ button grouping allows you to create a new stock/catalog item in the database. You must first enter the MCN/NSN to add and then click on one of the buttons in this group.
